Just wanting 2 see how many ppl are using nexgen atm.

me too, it just needs to speed up a bit in the menus in games, emulators etc
and the sound in the main menu needs to be a bit cleaner
these are the only 2 things keeping me from using it as my default dash!

I like this dash, but i dont use it because the audio (when scrolling) lags and there are way too much buttons in the main menu (i think 5 would be OK with some sub-menus), the rest is very cool since you may use FTP with this dash.

I would also like other type of sub-menus(i dont like the ones that look like the gamesave menu in msdash) Some new and better menus you make instead of using the original ones.

still using avalaunch as my primary dash atm.
just waiting for a stable/bug fixed and more advanced (feature wise) release.

tHc LiTe and evox for fpt atm. NeXgen is just too unstable atm.

I use ava. I would like to use nexgen but am waiting for a more stable and prettier version. I keep close tabs on neXgen and tHc.

I've tried to use it, I'm not having any luck. I use X-select, so I have all my dashes on e drive. I put the files in just like I got them, edited the xml to my liking, and renamed nexgen.xbe to default.xbe. I bet I screwed up the the xml file, but I've managed to run every other dash so I don't see how. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would use it, but theres a few problems I have come accross. One games don't load, well basicaly anything xbe wise won't launch. And also FTP doesn't work very well with SmartFTP (drives show, no folders or files though). I think it would also look well better with fog, and yes you are right, to many menus and scrolling speed is slow in games and apps menu. M$ Dashboard item could be put in apps. The sound is still a bit to fast. Just needs to be tweaked a lot here and there. I think there should also be an option to disable the Xenium OS menu for people who don't have that mod chip, thats in the dashboard for people who can't be assed to configure there XML.

Giving it a try at the moment. Quite impressed so far although I haven't really put it through its paces. Gonna have to agree with the others and wait for a more stable version before it becomes my default dashboard. One question though. Is it possible to have the backgroud music feature like thc and blackstarx have?

I use thc original on all of the boxes but quick links to avalaunch and media center. Truthfully though horney, if you guys can finish what just showed up on the front page (nexgen with a ms dash background) and add ftp, there wont be much of a contest as the whole scene would probably be using that one. It looks DAMN good even if it is very brief.

I boot the original NeXgeN(1.0 beta) under my Default BIOS. I have EvoX under my second BIOS. I like how it looks and can't wait for all the new stuff you guys are going to do! I hope you decided to add some of the stuff I suggested...

Bucko the ftp is a simple bug i've found out, neXgen only recognizes LIST wheras flashfxp and smartftp use LIST -al to list directorys, just turn off viewing hidden dirs and it will use the regular LIST command.

SEHF what suggestion where they sorry didnot see them. Background music layer is implemented & working for beta 2 so i think scrolling sound has been fixed as well with afew bugs here & there.
What else would u guys liek 2 see ?
