hi all,

i got a 4980.06 bios, x2.3b lite and the following files on C drive:

xboxdash : boots up original dash
msxboxdash : boots up evox

so if i accidently select xbox live option in a game, before it used to overwrite my evox dash, now with this bios its ok.

also if i disable the chip and boot up, the orig dash comes up whch is fine. hard drive is locked.

question is, can i get onto xbox live with this?????????

as long as your chip is off (loading msbios from tsop) and your hdd is lock (retail bios requiers it) you can go on live

yeah when the chip is off, led turns red and it boots the original dash. hdd is locked. but i heard when u get onto xbox live they check the C drive?

i have flashed both banks with 4980. im not sure where the msbios tsop is, can this be overwritten? or is it that underneath the X logo on startup? when the chip is enabled it says xecuter2?

LED is red with chip disabled? are you sure its not green? retail will be green

no, they do not check any part of the HD (they have the ability to check the manufacturer and model number but they dont ban based on this)

it should say m i c r o s o f t under the X on boot with the retail bios

ooooooooops. i meant the x2 external switch LED turns red meaning the chip is disabled and not the eject LED.

so if the chip is disabled and the xbox does not boot up, then i will get barred from xbox live?
