Some of you maybe remember that way back I painted an empty case white as a practise case.. then never used it because it had a few imperfections. Well, today I got modders itch and decided I had to do something about it. Besides, I was getting sick of case skins

I sanded down the rough parts on the already-painted white case, then cut the jewel hole, then gave the whole thing a few coats of Krylon Fusion (white). I also did the power/eject buttons white. I moved my tri-color jewel lighting into the new case top, but left all my old components in my old case. I guess you could say that I only switched case tops (and front panels), not whole cases. I moved the power/eject assembly into its new home as well.

Note: the pics all have bad lighting because of shitty fluorescent lights in the basement.

Oh yeah, I didn't paint the DVD bezel. Don't get mad at me!!

There's only one small imperfection and it's to the "south west" of the center of the jewel, right on that little slope.


Looks like the camera only caught the jewel LEDs when they were blue, but they cycle through green and red too.

i must say that I love the white xbox also, but you reallly need to paint your dvd faceplate. Im bout to paint my case white early this week or so. What kind of paint did you use and also did you sand down and use primer or a clear coat protectant?

i love it moderators post picd of their xbox's and every one is wow'd they could throw a skin on there and people would say "omg thats the coolest skin ever" and if i did that i would be shunned and beat on. i just dont get it. does any one want to see a pic of my skin lol. (i dont have one)

YEeeeah, Brahm actually case modded his box after thousands of posts in the casemodding forum hehe (jk we love you). Now stop being a nerdo and paint that dvd bezel, light up those ports, and put a mirror finish on the white!!!

Hey, Was Your Krylon Fusion "white", just white, or was it the Krylon Fusion Glossy White?

Oh. And I think his ports do have LEDs in them. Maybe?

sk8phreak88 - the jewel is from mad-modder/craxtion, and I used ben999_'s awesome jewel lighting tutorial to set it up.

cjmac - the paint can says "2320 Gloss White" - although it doesn't look very glossy in real life.

dvd bezel people - yeah, I'll do it eventually

Palmore: yeah, it's awesome - the "R" in my name is from when I always had the sopronos font in my sig, so it's a gun shaped "R"

I'm considering leaving the DVD bezel as it is. I like the contrast. I'm also thinking it's time I did the controller port LED mod.. but that'll have to wait for a couple weeks.

Leave the dvd bezel as it is? Don't be lazy, your gonna make alot of peopel here angry leaving it hehehe. Anyways, I think you should either make that whole line black, or whole line white, just leaving the bezel makes it look unfinished and not so stylish. Just saying... Plus its pretty easy to paint it anyways.
