i just threw together the batman vs superman one, it looks pretty good on my computer, havent tested it in evo x yet cause my mom is playing ninja gaiden,lol, but it should work.

it works fine in evox..the batman one. though... maybe if the font could be slightly darker. but still looks cool as does the blue one

Your best bet is to do what I did, download a skin and look at the structure of the .ini file. It's pretty basic and straightforward.


Skin Name. This is so EVOX can find it and place it in the skin menu.

Skin Text, this is where you 'place' your text on top of your image. I use a 'shadow' technique here, putting down black text, and then putting some slightly offset white text directly on top of it.

You dont REALLY need to know all of this, it's better to start out using a prog to do most of the dirty work. I use Evox Skinner v 1.27 It does a pretty good job of showing exactly what the skin will look like when it's displayed on a TV (Evox cuts off a significant amount of the edge of the image(s)

It looks pretty good. However, have you posted the complete skin (with skin.ini and loading screen) anywhere, like xbox-skins.net or allxboxskins.com? I wanted to see how it would look on my television. I suspect some of the text will not be visible on at least some televisions. Televisions will cut a bit off the skins, so the edges won't be visible.

If you look at the image below, generally speaking only the area within the pink rectangle will be visible. Time, bios, and ip might be cut off a bit.

But, if you tested it and it looks okay, that's fine. Just something to be aware of.

At xbox-skins.net, you can update your skin. But, at allxboxskins.com, you cannot.

I'll test it tonight and let you know how it looks. It may be fine the way it is.

I tested your Tidus and Yuna skin, and, as suspected, some of the text is cut off. You might want to just move the "Time" down and to the left a bit, and "Bios" and "IP" to the right a bit.

If you want, you can e-mail skins to me (phizzy AT charter.net) so I can test them before you post them.

Cool. This nice thing about AllXboxSkins.com is that they weed out bad skins, but you can wait several days between updates, unfortunately. You probably noticed that the last update was around November 4th, so you may get lucky and see your skin there soon, given that it is a bit overdue for an update.

On Xbox-Skins.net, your submitted skin appears instantaneously, and will only be taken down if it violates certain rules (i.e. nudity). However, as you discovered, the site occassionally experiences technical difficulties.

Okay I was able to get on the site at Xbox-Skins.net and loaded the skin there.
