Full Version: Will Led's In A Regular Dongle Light Up?

Will LED's in a regular dongle light up? by regular im talking about the one's that came with the very first systems. (there black) because im not sure they will.

they're actually transparent green, dark at that, yeah, any LED will...just dont try UV...not very bright

I dunno man -are you sure the original black dongles will light? I have both kinds, and the deep transparent green ones are different from the black ones. I shone a lazer pointer on one side of my black dongle to see if any light would come through, and it did not.

Anway, it is a pretty easy mod, so just try it wink.gif

It's actually the very latest dongles that all seem to be black. Most early dongles you find are transparent green.

Well what I did was just drilled a hole it in and used a little bit of hotglue to act as a clear globe if you will...you can check out some of my older mods at my site...

click on "XBOX" on the flash menu on the left and then click on "The Dongle" then go to the bottom of that page and click on "On to page 2" and then look at the last two pics on that page...check out my forum too...

I just cut a hole and used Hot glue as well.
