my cousin has a copy of 6.0 will this work for compiling the source code or do i need vs .net 2003 7.1? and if i do need it is there anywhere i can get a demo version or something? thanks
Your going to need 7.1 and the latest Xbox XDK. I don't have either of these and finding the XDK is hard as balls.

You can find a copy of XBMC floating around in the 'usual places' you dont HAVE to compile your own, just more convienient that way.
