Am I correct in thinking I can add a Coax output along side the Toslink output on my High Definition AV Pack if I just get a RCA output and connect the central pin to the right Toslink pin (Data) and the outter pin to the left Toslink pin (Ground).

Anyone done this before?

Tutorial

I haven't done this myself, but a lot of people did. I added coax output directly to my xbox.

That tut is for these two cables:

I wanna do the mod on this cable:
http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/hardware/scartcable.htm

Which already has a optical toslink, I need a co-ax though.

No one tried it before with this cable?

I've just recently done the coax mod (AV-pack), works quite well

Just a a quickie addon

Connecting a RCa/Coaxial jack to the Toslink is just fine. They are the exact same signal. All the Toslink connecter does is convert it into a light signal. Make sure you don't connect it to the power connector of the Toslink - you'll fry your components if you do.
