I finally got around to making another skin. I banged this out quick tonight, all artwork is original except for the blue background.

I made a sweet animation (with particleillusion) inside that canister looking thing (it bubbles and boils etc etc) as well as animation on the rods that go to the vid screen.

This is in its early stages, I have already moved the item "screen" where it says drive c and f free.
Ill probably change that blue background to something else too if I find something better.
Also I will be changing the font and the color in the main menu so it reads easier. As well I will be moving the temps into that space that is in between the menu and the preview vid.

Thanks, it looks a million times better now, Its still a few days off though. I dont have much time to work on it with work and all, but its coming along nicely. What I hate is the animation I made is coded at 384 or whatever, and the menu is still a bit sluggish at first. I dont want to sacrifice quality, so if anyone has any ideas Im open to suggestions, and not for just the vid problem, for anything.

WIP SCREEN:

Heres a shot of the skin with a dif back. The fonts in this skin are the old ones, the ones currently being used are the ones in the skin with the red back. This is purely for everyone to take a look.

The red/orange would look cooler IMO if the video elements were red/orange too.

Yeah, not a lot of work has been done on this as I have'nt found myself with much free time (what with work and all), but I plan on actually finishing this one sometime in the near future, if I can find the free time.


Also, long live MXM, wip stuff looks amazing (to those who may read this thread (geniusalz, flattspott, koldfuzion and of course the creator BenJeremy)) I love mxm and have spent too much time on it to abandon it for something else and can't wait for the next release and the creative work the action scripters, skinners, and programmers are going to do with it.

is the video encoded with wmv8? or 7. just that in itself will make the quality difference..even at the same bitrate.

Plus it is great to see some new skins for MxM, i have been using the same one for like 3 months.

My HD completely screwed me over and I had to re-install. I lost everything, including this skin and it's photoshop files. I still have the skin on my xbox, but it is'nt completed and the way things have gone it doesnt look like it will be either.
