OK, I was doing some light mods and everything was fine when I put is back together but I had to take the cover back off my box cause my DVD drive wasn't set corectly and when I conected my hard drive back up and turned it on the box came on and whent off very fast. But... when the hard drive is disconected the box comes on. is it a short or what??? HELP!!!

check your ide cable or try to replacethis. mine got princh once and I had no sound and got video the first time i turned it on then no video if i reset it. Good place to start

You didn't accidentally reverse one?

But yeah a "pinched" cable can also be exposed and shorting.

Where is my ide cable? Does anyone know what order the wires to your hard drive go
i.e. when it's plugged into the hard drive.
