Try plugging your AV cable in

to a tv?

you have to have your av cables plugged into something or it won't work. actually you have to plug in the cable on the xbox,

bro, you need to fill in all the details here. what modchip are you using, and does the xbox have a hd in it at all right now??
strandyman
Jan 3 2003, 09:25 AM
Matrix mod chip unflashed, the standard 8 gig hd.

Jan 3 2003, 09:27 AM
you have to use the programmer that came with the matrix to flash it on your pc, then put the chip in and get it all aligned properly, then plug all of your cables back into your xbox and tv, then try to boot from that disk.

after you can boot the disk and ftp into your stock hd, then we will move onto installing the upgraded hd

Jan 3 2003, 09:28 AM

shanafan
Jan 3 2003, 09:38 AM

kkattfish
Jan 3 2003, 09:40 AM

shanafan
Jan 3 2003, 09:41 AM
Yes. But be sure you first do a backup of the 8 GIG...
kkattfish
Jan 3 2003, 09:43 AM

yes...\
steps
1. flash matrix chip with bios with your programmer on your pc
2. open xbox and install matrix
3. plug everything back in
4. boot from evox boot disk
5. setup your ftp prog and adjust settings within evox dash to allow you to ftp into your xbox.
6. get back to this thread when you get this far.

So kkatt, what will be strandyman's next question?
kkattfish
Jan 3 2003, 09:57 AM
hmmm, i think it will be.......
it's installed and the light is green, but how come the evox boot disk won't work.
here's my answer, flash the matrix with a color bios, and pinch the programmer and the chip together while flashing, then reinstall and see if you see the color change on startup, if so then the media you are using is bad, try a different brand.
how does that sound, and what do you think the next question will be?
shanafan
Jan 3 2003, 10:02 AM
-OR- (following your "question")
Did you put the Matrix in mode 2 after it was green for alignment?
kkattfish
Jan 3 2003, 10:02 AM
