Interestingly, weather works fine for me. CDDB is also
lightning fast. But IMDB is dog slow, maybe 5 minutes
per lookup. The same site accessed through internet
explorer or mozilla is lightning fast ( i got the url
from the xbmc.log and plugged it into the browser) So
why is xbmc so slow with imdb?
I dont think it's a router issue otherwise my browser
should be slow also.
This problem occurs regardless of whether the
XboxMediaCenter.xml file is set to a static ip or dhcp.
Once the data is found, the dialog changes to indicate
that XBMC is retrieving the data. This also takes
forever (3 mins).
The retrieved data can then NOT be found anywhere on
the drive.

minutes to get the plot summary.
I rebooted the xbox after modifying the xboxmediacenter.xml
file to provide a static ip connection. Same result:
