Howdy . I have a tsop flashed xbox with an x2 bios (007 auf method) . Now i wish to install an x-bit and have an original bios in 1 bank (for xbox live) and a hacked bios in another bank. now which orig bios should i use.. obviously i cant find out my kernel version via the setttings in ms dash coz it will just say 4980.06 - x2 kernel-
is there another way to find out the kernel or can i just try a loading several bios' on the xbit and via process of ilimination get one that works.... i have a version 1.4 / 1.5 box if that helps

PS yes i did back up the orig bios on the old retail xbox hd but cant get it to run (makes an endless clicking noise...grrr)

if you open your xbox up there should be a sticker on the mobo near the tsop/lpc area or a marker writing that says the kernel version
that or you can try to figure it out based on the manufacturing date of your xbox

since you are getting a modchip though you can just try out as many different ms bioses as you can till you find one that will work without a frag
