I was wondering if any of you know if there's a performance difference between the hard drives with 2mb cache versus ones with a 8mb cache. I was thinking of a 120gb hd 7200rpm with only a 2mb and was planning on using the media player and storing backups of games. Also, how fast does your hard drive fill up when you're backing up games onto it? I was thinking of getting a smaller size. Thanks.

from what i have read it shouldnt matter if you get a 2mb buffer. The way the IDE is setup the xbox will not even use the performance of the 8mb buffer. the only thing to consider is if you later wanted to take that hard drive out and put it in the pc, then maybe buy the 8mb buffer.
