Hi guys, I was wondering, I just got a new iron made by Weller and It has adjustable heat settings. The dial turns from 35 to 85 and under the dial it says Fx10 so i'm guessing Fahrenheit times 10. What should I set it on to be safe? If anyone can help me that would be great. Thanks in advance.

you sould of gotten a 15 watt soldering iron

you sould pratice on a board you no longer need, you can use google.com and search for help on how to solder

You should be fine with that soldering iron. I heard alot of people using a higher wattage soldering iron with temp control. As for the temp to set it at for some reason i remember seeing between 350-400.
