So I tried making xbmc my default dash on one of my HDDs but I messed up on the xml file. I know the mistake but i just need to regain ftp access so i can reupload the file. Seems like as long as the damaged .xbe boot file is there it tries to boot that and then sends you to the critical xbmc error screen rather than read the evox boot cd.
Is there a way to regain ftp access?
It says it's trying to establish a DCHP connection but keeps failing. Is there a particular IP address I need to put my PC on to establish a connection?
Awaiting an answer.
Thanks all

What bios are you using? Moste bios first try to boot default.xbe from DVD before trying to boot from HD.
Did you evox boot disc work before the xbmc foobar? If not make sure you renamed the xbe on the boot disc. I know I missed that the first time I made a boot disc.

BIOS: x2 4981
I renamed the XBMC default.xbe file to evoxdash.xbe b/c that's what the bios was loading first (Seeing as I was making XBMC my permanent dash).
The file on the boot disk is default.xbe
I agree with you that it should read the cd first with the default filename but unfortunately it isn't.

I have the good cd drive that reads almost anything. I booted with the cd in on my other 2 working drives and it booted to the cd first.
I then switched to the 3rd HDD (the one with the damaged XBMC) and once again it wouldn't boot to the cd first.
I have bios x4981.
is there something I can change on the cd or something i can manually do to the HDD to regain FTP access?
Please help, thanks!
