I'm no X-ecuter fanboy. I'm not an anybody fanboy. Everyone deserves respect for what they do. If you really wanna know the truth, X-ecuter were really starting to annoy me with all the bickering. It is VERY nice to see that this seems to have stopped now and they are getting back to what they do best.

Biosboy is most definately a fanboy, and sometimes goes way over the top with it - and that's what pisses people off. Maybe he should tone it down, maybe he shouldn't be so quick to throw insults around, etc.etc.etc.... BUT he does make some very good points sometimes, and he has made some in this thread.

Examples:

"It's ugly."

You're kidding me, right? Actually it's pretty neat - one very small PCB with just what it needs on it. Maybe it would be "ugly" if you had to bolt the thing on with some big ass screw, but no, it just sticks on - yet people complain about that ?

Not that it matters anyway - if you know someone who claims to be a "developer" yet has a neat and tidy working area, then he's lying to you. A developer couldn't give a shit what it looks like Most of them probably have the damn lid off the box anyway.

"It should be on the front". Well maybe you want it on the front, I want it on the back, out of the way, where I won't keep catching it. But guess what? Newsflash - that cable is FLEXIBLE. If you really wanted to, you could mount the damn thing wherever you like.

This is a DEVELOPER tool. In fact most DEVELOPERS won't even NEED it, it is just a handy feature that will make their life easier. There's no reason in the world why anyone else would need this or the X2PRO - that's what the LITE is for. Do you understand now ?

At the end of the day this is a nice addition to a very nice product. So be happy!

My only concern is that Nasis-X is going to sue them for creating a "3rd Dimensional Mod", because "it's a blatant rip off of his design".... just kidding!

Hmm, such harsh comments from complete fucking idiots... Before bashing X-Ecuter you should realize what they have done for the scene for nothing in return. If you think that X2 is ugly, you have some issues... I have 3 X2 : Lites sitting on my desk, and they are very nice. I would like to see any one of you fucking idiots design and send me a prototype that is half as nice as the X2, I doubt any of you could afford a good PCB design suite like protel, none the less know what to do, how everything works etc. This is coming from someone that desgins his owns PCB's and put his chips together. Its not a easy task, and such critism from idiots that dont know anything about how much work was put into it is pathetic. I think they should stop production - goto an injection mould factory and get 10,000 little black boxes made - and then of course completely redesign the PCB schematic. They would also need a different kind of DIP switch - a raised piano type one would be really nice - in a nice RED color - as blue sucks. (Note injection mould lead time 5 weeks)
