The release of pgr2editor isn't for away now. It needs another month of debugging and adding internet options. Options so far:
-ini editing
-adding colours EDIT (i first typed adding cars

)
-switching classes/sounds of cars/....
to come:
-internet support to download ini's from my website directly to the xbox.
Here are some screenshots:

Any txt editor works just fine, unless this includes adding and changing cars skins.

well, this is just a program that I use to learn c++. The added functionality to download from the internet might make it interesting for you guys but it's mostly for me to learn the language. I'm sure it's easier to work with than a text editor because there are literally hundreds of ini's where you can browse trough without opening/reopening stuff. Also the previewing of the colours and rgb previewer for new colours make it a little bit more interesting. Again, this is for learning purposes only but it might be fun to have for you guys.

Maybe you should not make the whole inis viewable and editable, far from all posts needs modding. Maybe you also should set names on the posts, like ie. maxRevs to viewable rpm or something like that. I've tested each and every post so lemme know if u think its a good idea and need definitions for the differente posts.

it would make the program very complicated to filter the entire ini. Maybe in future versions i could add a description of usable ini values next to it. First I'm gonna concentrate on finishing it. If I would do this I realy could use your help because i'm not sure what everything means.

Dood thats sweet!

Is there gonna be a way to restore defaults though?

I already have a function that can restore all the car ini's or one car at a time from the dvd. There isn't any use of saving the originals to another place on the harddrive because we all have the original dvd right?

I haven't tested it on illegal copies tough but it should work too. For the colours there isn't a restore function yet but this will be easily implemented.

Except my dvd drive is dead
But, I finally got around to having a play with the ini files like I have been meaning to for months.
OMG this is fun

My RX-7 laps the ring under 6 minutes, tops out at 430 km/h and has 7 and a half tons of downforce

I soooo can't wait for this release. Keep up the good work

Well, if your dvd drive is dead or you lost your original dvd I suggest you backup your entire Frontend and CarDynamics folder. Software can sometimes act in strange ways so I hope I don't screw up your files

I already did CarDynamics before I started to screw with it.
I'll do the frontend right now....

Oh fuck! Wrong button! I just deleted it. It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic
Tip: Never fuck with important files at 1am when half asleep!

if you want the files just give me a PM, I don't want to get in trouble by publicly releasing copyrighted stuff.

small error, i can't save edited ini's anymore
the time i stated will remain but this means i have to drop the "download from the internet"-feature for this version. This will come though.
EDIT:
Fixed it. Thousands of lines of code and i typed one letter too much. It didn't even gave an error message. Aargh

Glad it's fixed though
