Almost sounds like something is wrong with your power supply in your xbox. I've heard of things like this happening if the power supply was bad.

Is it chipped, TSOPed? Softmodded? Do you have access to a chip? Sounds like it may be a pretty low down problem with the events up to the frag that you described..sad.gif

Looks like this: http://www.gameconsolerepair.com/xboxps1.jpg if your xbox has not been opened and is still in waranty you could send it in to get it fixed. Just a thought.

And if it's under the original warenty, you know, you could do that too. wink.gif

That's weird. You said it first happened right when you tried to eject the DVD... and it had been running normally during the movie. How very odd indeed.

Replace the power supply. Unless there is a fix for yours. You can try replacing a fuse... I am not sure. Anyway, you can get a power supply off of ebay for like $15 - $30. Good luck with it.
