Have you ever opened your xbox cause the cable could be loose, the motor in your CD rom Drive could be dead, the elastic inside the CD rom Drive could have snapped many reasons

Hope it's a 1.0 box. Your bios is bad or broken. try this
tutorial and see if it helps. have more info if you need it

Well, I've tried using a cheapmod (and disabling the TSOP), but what happens is it doesn't recognise the cheapmod, just flashes green,green,green, red. ???

Check your connections on the cheapmod, especially the d0.
