Alright I am helping out a friend and he just got his Xenium modchip. After he created a boot disk with nero, and a memorex cd-rw, when he went to flash his chip it said "Unable to load file from cd"

Use Following dummy file:Dummy File
Description: A 327k RAR file that extracts a 640Mb dummy.bin file, this is useful if you want to add paddding to a CD when you are experiancing problems with reading files on your Xbox DVD-Rom.
Remember to extract the file first before adding it to the cd.

1. Try different cdrw brands thompson is a bit picky.
2. Sometimes you have to try several times with the same cd untill it works.
3. Some ppl had problems solved first changing the dummy file to a mutch larger one. Like the one I provided.

try starting the dummy with a letter not ahead of the bios file, basicly dont start with a or b

I believe I have a Thompson and I used Verbatim CD-RWs and they have worked EVERY time.
Make sure you are burning an ISO with Joliet off, in Format Mode 1, and in Disk at Once/96.

well i solved the problem with getting the "unable to read from cd..." i am now using memorex pocket cd's which work. and it read, BUT now im getting a "bios not properly sized"

Make sure your bios is the same size as the bank you are loading it to, if you have a Xenium you can change ur banks to
4 of them at 256k
2 at 512k
2 at 256k and 1 at 512k
or 1 at 1024k
