This is my most desperate and humble plea for help. I have installed a Xenium-S modchip (no solder) into my xbox (version 1.0 w/ Thompson drive). Now, I know I must install a bios, my choice is EvoX. I have burned the .bin I got from xbins (256 KB named bios.bin) and am using a 640 MB dummy file from ozxodus. When I put it into my xbox, select bank one, and say flash with D:\bios.bin, it just sits there frozen. I have also tried using Slayer's Auto EvoX install, and that won't even boot. I have tried Sony 4X DVD-R, Imation CD-RW, Memorex CD-RW, and Khypermedia CD-RW, all of them can have music copied from them to the xbox, but will not load. I am sure you must know how frustrating it is to wait for your chip, install it, and still have it not work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

check the connection of your modchip and I don't know much about xenium chip
all I know bios.bin should be 512k in size and up

the m8 bios i got was 256 kb.... I guess I should look for a bigger one.... it says bios wrong size now when I try to flash

You don't need to resize it, the Xenium should accept 256kb bioses. Make sure that it is set to use 256 bios banks, otherwise it won't flash your chip. Also list step by step how you're creating your bios CD.

Step by Step What I have done:
-Installed the modchip w/ solderless adapter
-Downloaded EvoX M8 bios from #xbins
-Renamed m8.bin to BIOS.BIN
-Resized to 512 KB
-Download 640 MB file from OzXodus
-Burned dummy.bin and bios.bin to CD-RW
-Put in XBOX, go to the Xenium menu, change bank size to 2 x 512 KB
-Select bank to flash and then say Flash from D:\BIOS.BIN
-Get two errors: either Bios is wrong size or can't read from disk
(I got the same errors when I tried using the 256 KB Bios.bin)
