Full Version: Ata 100 Problem
well i ghetto rigged my 1.1 box with the ata 100 that came wit ma 120 GB hdd and it fragged wit the chip enabled AND disabled...then i didnt touch the chip at all and just plugged teh stock cable in and it work fine....any ideas???

i mean i folded it right and all it looks fine and my friend here tried it and his fragged and brought sum error code....?!?!
Normal 18" IDE Cables that come with hard drives aren't long enough to work with the XBOX. Get a 24" cable and try that instead.
you need to use ATI 133 cables, They are they only ones compatiable with the xbox, with any custom mod.

i have the same cable as racer and his friend (drummerboi) i live right near them, i used my 18' in my xbox
it required some cutting and its an ATA100 cable, it worked fine, u can really use any cable, its just making it fit...if u want to c the results of my mod, go here: Hidden ATA Cable TUT
