My xbox after like 6 months of perfect use started to frag al of the sudden. It isnt always either every once in a while. So, i reflashed my chip numerous time using the slayer disc. But still no luck. I have found though if i disasemble my xbox or sometimes even just take the top off it works fine. so what could be wrong.

Chip is coming out of alignment on the LPC points (if you have a pogo) or one/more of your solder points on the LPC is very iffy. Reinstall your chip. That simple.

Sounds like a heat problem, but I think the fragging suggests a problem with loading or reading the bios. Check this out
