DONT USE ANY OF THAT GARBAGE!
You sound like you don't have much soldering experience, so don't do any of that if you dont.
Just flip the board over and look at the digrams that show the underside d0 location. It's about 4 times as big as the upper one, and has solder on it already. All you have to do is add a drop of solder to it and touch the wire to it. That simple.
Don't mess up your board by scraping, or make a messy install with a ton of flux. Flux is for the experienced, and most of them, don't use it.
Just stick to the lower d0.
