i wus thinkin about replacing those horrible green eject leds. so i came up with this idea 2 put a lan activity led on 1 side, n a hdd activity led on the other side. do u think this will look good?

another idea that i thought up wus have a hdd activity led on 1 side, n my modchip on/off led on the other side.

the colors i will b using is red n white, or blu n white.

i ask if u guys think this will look good cuz i dont no if there will b color bleeding/blending or mix colors(green n red make amber/orange)

I would imagine the colors would mix..

You could possibly block the light from going to the otherside with some sort of barrier between the two sides. This possibly could reduce the "bleeding effect". I dont know though..

I think thats a really cool idea. If you ever do that make sure you post pics

ya i just had a thread about color mixing yesterday

sounds cool but it would piss me off messing with that stuff... i did the eject but that was bad enough

its been done already but it does help to make it look better just don't let the leds blind you

alright, im gona order sum leds in a few days, then i will do this mod. take sum pix, n if it doesnt look good, ill take it off. another question that i have is, i have a choice of:
lan activivty
dvd activity
hdd activity
modchip on/off

i think im gona do the lan activity on 1 side n the hdd activity on the other since i think those 2 will blink the most.

does the dvd activity rly blink that much?
