It's in the main default.xbe....

You'd have to edit that. Unsure how hard it would be, maybe just a little cropping... I'll see what I can do....

It's more or less impossible. You'll need to crack the game file and then recompile it to a new program that will execute.

Just found this old thread trying to find a way to play Geometry Wars without having to go through the Garage. Actually, you wouldn't have to recompile anything. If you can find the part of the executable which starts Geometry Wars then you could potentially use a hex editor to make the game go straight there.

I wonder if anyone could do this?

I'd be very much interested in seeing this happen. Ill talk to my programmer friends and see if i can *cough* con *cough* get them to do this.

Cool, keep us up to date :-) It shouldn't be too hard if you can find the correct starting point for Geometry Wars, and if you know how to either trim the XBE so it starts at that point, or change some code at the beginning of the XBE to make it jump to that point in the executable.

Necroposting, I know but I just borrowed a buddy's old Xbox and came across Geometry Wars which is awesome. So is there already a patch to play it without the main game? TIA!
