I read some other threads on this topic, but am still unclear if the BIOS soley is responsible for completely blocking XBLive access, when it is enabled.
I understand that the bios, by default, blocks XBLive information transfer.
But does this mean that if I have the chip enabled and I am browsing my backups - if I was to click on a game and then try to access xblive - it would block any and all attempts to connect to the servers?
I would presume yes - but while running bios v4981 - my little brother clicked on the XBLive menu option in Driv3r - and upon reboot, the dash was reflashed and would not boot...
Is this a fluke or under normal circumstances (i now run 4983) - this shouldn't happen... i'de just like to make it idiot proof so that if i did this for a friend, i wouldn't hear back from him in a week, telling me his little brother did the same thing...
