I've looked for info on this but can only find good info how to do it with a hub / router. I don't have either.

I was wondering, do I use XB-FTP or Avalaunch? Both of which I have on my xbox.

I did actually try something last night but couldn't get it to work....

I booted both xboxes in Avalaunch (the newset version), opened the file manager and set one xbox to remote (the xb I wanted to put files ON) but it didn't appear in the window. I have 192.168.0.3 on one xbox and 192.168.0.2 on the other. I know my cross-over cable work cos I use it for xbox to PC transfer and xbox system link. Does Avalaunch see the IP that I set in Evox?

Any suggestions on how to do it or what the best tutorial is would be appreciated.

Thanks

B

do you know how to do it with a hub? a crossover cable is the same as a hub but only cost a couple of bucks.

So just use the guide for the hub? Ok, I'll try that. Thanks.

I was having another go at it last night (all be it with only 1 xbox!) and discovered it's possible to set the IP in the Avalaunch.xml file. When I go see my friend at the weekend I'll set his IP in the xml and hopefully it work.

yeah a crossover cable does what a hub does crosses the green cables with the orange cables so transmit and receive are crossed on each side.
