i'm modding a couple of friend's xboxes

i know that when i modded mine i had to put an ip like one digit off from my own ip into the ini file

i guess i can't just use any ip and be able to get into my box??

like i couldn't use 123456 or whatever?

so how do i put evox into these boxes with the ip of their pcs??

They can edit their networking info as needed. And no 123456 is not a valid ip. Thats wrong on soo many levels..

Well, with a boot disk you will need to decide whether they are going to want a static ip or dhcp since you cannot edit the settings and reboot with evox on a cd.

i believe static is the standard yes??

i know mine is?

anyone know how i can pull this off??

i need to install evox dash into my friend's xboxes and yet somehow enable them to ftp into their box when they take it home to their pc???

EvoX will fall-back to a static IP if a DHCP server can't be detected. This is probably the best option for a bootable EvoX CD, since it will get a valid IP from the network if supported, otherwise it will use the static IP assigned in evox.ini.

The following will first try to get an automatic IP from a DHCP server (router, server etc). If not available, it will give the xbox an IP of 192.168.1.200. In this case the PC would also need an IP in the same subnet (ie 192.168.1.XXX).
