i was wondering why we can't write m.i.c.r.o.s.o.f.t but we can still right xbox. writing a name can't be illegal is it, just wondering

I think I remember xant saying once it was so that a google search of "mircrosoft" didnt turn up 13 thousand xbox-scene.com forum threads. (give or take a few dozen).

its to keep x-s from popping up on search engine searches for "MS"

and if you really wanted to write Microsoft you could... but making it even just a little difficult is effective enough in keeping this site off any perceived radar scopes...
and people will understand what you mean even with the abbreviation. But I really agree there is no need for that word to point to this site all the time with any searches. I wish it was abbr. to MSFT instead of MS cause ms is morgan stanley to me but whatever.
