i would like to c a next release w/ texturized menus & 3D elements (ref. to an image file like texture.xbx placed in the skin xip, please look into my xap...not complete yet
AND the possibility to activate it or not through the config file/menu...

How about a shortcut system through the DVD remote, eg 1=launch Evox 2=Launch DVDX etc etc....
Now Playing Soundtrack Info & Game Icons? 
the orbs not stuck in one place but placed with coordinates given by the skin would be really cool.

well for smartxx and xenium owners it would be cool to able to go to the os from th4e dashboard,dont know if possible just an idea.
a file manger and savesgame dl manger to use with xbox-saves like unleashX
Ummmm if it isn't already - how about region free playback of DVD movies....
ie. No patching, no dvd-x, just the bsx dash but region free playback??

I whould like the abitlity to start the xbox with a game inside and being able to go to blackstormx without launching the game automaticly.
same feature as in evox : auto lauch game : on/off
in the configuration menu it whould be nice.

would not work too well with BSX 2.0, now that the orbs actauly move.

the easiest way to do this is hex edits, i do not believe it would be possible to do without manual edits.

preview animations? do ya mean preview videos? if so, no.
the font style can be changed, i will play around with a few things and see if anything looks good.

im not sure how the smartxx and xenium chips work, but the easiest way would be a simple reboot (assuming the chip OS loads on every boot??)

a SIMPLE file manager would be possible, but not a skin downloader.

ive looked into dvd playback without a dongle, and that also does not look possible, unless we could compile a new xbe (i wish)

that is controled by the bios. the feature you are talking about just controls whether or not the game is launched on insert while in the dash, not on boot.
How about a Info tab that shows the temperature of the Mobo and Cpu! And the Hdd things...
info tabs are great try one in the music section when listening to music in the visualiztion --screensaver-- where you touch the right analog stick you get a drop down bar telling you what song is playing, how much time is left etc.
the time on the main area of the dash is a great one,
track now playing from auto music play in the main area is good as well,
maybe if its possible get some orbs or something spinning around in the background connected to eachother theres many things possible

PAL60 DVD playback (on PAL the Xbox runs DVDs at PAL50, NTSC DVDs run choppy unless i use the enigmah video changer. Same thing happens when running PAL DVDs on NTSC mode)
