what am I doing wrong - my evox skin doesnt show and IP next to it.

Am I missing something

how is it hooked up to your network? crossover?

you wont get an ip unless the xbox sets up the network. in order to do this it has to have a link.

thats from when it is linked to my tv and nothing else.

Im trying to get my ftp sorted Ive used two differnet crossover cables, two different pcs and still cant get the xbox to connect with the network (using a direct nic to xbox with a crossover.

Does the xbox have to be attached to a tv to set up the network?

To use the ftp, you have to have the A/V chord plugged in the xbox but not the tv.
(pretty sure)
