With the vast number of tutorials etc availabe im sad to say im just getting lost.

My xbox kernel and dash are both versions 1.00.4034.01

The furthest ive got is to access the hard drive in my PC. Ive done this by making the xbox hd, the only one in my pc, and booting the linux based Xbox HD Maker and Recvery Tool (xboxhdm_v1.8.zip)

I have had to use this method as I have been unable to find the missing dll files for HDD Driver anywhere.

My xbox has no fonts folder.

So, where to go from here?

I know I need to get te phoenix bios loader on somehow, but as Ive said, im just confusing myself.


Essentially, if someone can tell me how to get the xbox modded now that i can access the files on the drive it would be massively appreciated.

(NOTE: i have the xecuter2 bios build 4977, the phoenix bios loader, evolutionX files already)

Copy your fonts to your PC, delete them from your xbox. Get a UDE package, place the files where they need to go. Then you're done..

any chance of a bit more info.

so can i put the fonts on even tho i dont have a fonts folder? and if so do i make a folder, or put them in the root.

package names would be appreciated aswell.

i think the fonts just go in the root of C on 1.0 xboxes. so take them out of the folder and put them there.

The object is to remove the original fonts from the xbox, and replace them with the font file from UDE. I'd suggest using UDE version 4 kernel specific bert_ate_ernie.xtf because I can vouche for its stability on a friends box.
You should also backup xboxdash.xbe since you will need to replace it with a specific version of update.xbe to implement the exploit.
Edit: These steps do not include what needs to be done to e:\ in order to load the -habibi signed default.xbe to load PBL-->Dash.

ok, ive downloaded ude1, but which bert file should i use, obviously one for 4034, but theres 2 (in folders s1914880 and s1974272), remembering that i dont have

and once ive put them on my C: drive, and renamed to xbox book (bert) and xbox (ernie), where does the default come from? evoX or PBL

if its evox then do i even need the pbl? or will it boot evox everytime?

im sorry abt this, i dont get that much time to trawl through all the info available.
