back 2 basics.

1. install chip
2. flash chip w/ 4983
3. (here's where im lost) install X-disk on stock HDrive? or just install new Hdrive then put X-disk on it?

Do i need to backup the stock drive to my computer first? Do I need the x-disk cd in the drive to establish the ftp connection?

yes you will need the disk/dashboard to get FTP

install your new HD boot the CD then run the "drive set up on the cd"

(you cant ruin your xbox with the cd just dont flash anything so you can just play with it and if you screw it up you jsut format and try again)
