Okay I have a modem with a usb port and a ethernet port. My pc is connected to the usb port. Can i ftp into my xbox if i connect my xbox to my ethernet port of the modem. I have a arris touchstone CM300 modem

probably not. Either way, though, this has nothing to do with xbox. read about your cable modem more.

I doubt it, because you'd have to have 2 LAN ip addresses, one for the usb interface, and one for the ethernet interface. see if you can do that. if so, maybe you can.

actually that might not even matter. you should call their support line and ask them.

unless it's usb 2.0, the transfer rate between the xbox and pc will be very slow.

i have it connected to my modem and ive seen it go to 600+kbps
