i have a font/audio modded box, never had any problems running any other dashes on it. but i seem to have some initial trouble getting bsx set up on my box.

i'd like to run bsx off my E drive, so i followed the tut. i hex edited the bsxdash.xbe, and copied that along with the blackstormX folder and blackstormxcp.xbe to the root of E. launched bsxdash.xbe and got nothing. something i'm doing wrong?

You will need to hext edit the bsxdash.xbe and search for all instances of xtf and change them to xft(or whatever the extensions of your font files are)

Alternatively use the ude hack and then hext edit bsxdash for fonts and change to f0nts (0= number)

i went and changed the XTF to XFT. when i reboot and launch bsx i still get a blank screen.

had the same problem myself no more than 12 hours ago, only with tHc, try going onto 'the usual place' and look under PC, xbe-xip-xap tools, and get the f0nt patcher file, it runs in dos, just open a command window and type

patcher nameofdash.xbe -f0nts

that should work perfectly for ya

okay i went and downloaded the program. not exactly sure how to use it though. i don't have a f0nts folder (not using UDE) so will this still work for me?

btw - i'm using font/audio (bigfonts25)

okay i switched over to UDE (much better) and now bsx works fine for me. thanks for the help.
