HELP!!!!!

a good friend of mine modded 2 xboxs for me, one went in the car and the other in the house.

Sold the Supra so now have the second xbox in the house and now not being used.
We have taken the 120GB drive out of it and its now in the PC.

Bios picks up the drive with no problem but XP etc wont touch it THOUGH it does recognise it in system props.

I'm an IT boff but not had any experience with Xbox bios, drive locking etc.

can someone please give us a hand so that i can use this drive again

omfg yes it can be done USE THE SEARCH there is way more information than you will ever need to use any hard drive from an xbox in a PC, and DO NOT make post titles like these or no one will want to even look at what you've written.

Fair enough sorry for the big alarm ...

after reading a few posts on here i can't honestly tell you whether its locked or unlocked etc, as mentioned before i didn't mod the box and do not know the procedures he followed so i don't know. have seen a few peeps mention fdisk, sure its not that simple but will give anything a try cheers .....

but a step by step post would be fantastic as i cant seem to find any on here.

ok step by step is very clear, but,

can the drive be unlocked without having the original xbox hdd ? as we never got it back from the guy that modded the box, presumed it was binned as 10gb aren't of any use these days ?
