What if two years from now our Xbox(first generation) hard drive breaks down and our IDE hard drives can't be replaced because the only thing for sale are the SATA hard drives?

It converts IDE to Serial ATA but does it convert Serial ATA to IDE?
IDE HDs disappearing completely from the planet within 2 years is about as likely as being invaded by aliens tomorrow morning.
