What if two years from now our Xbox(first generation) hard drive breaks down and our IDE hard drives can't be replaced because the only thing for sale are the SATA hard drives?

It converts IDE to Serial ATA but does it convert Serial ATA to IDE?

Heck, you can still find working MFM/RLL drives for sale at web shops and eBay. These drives were around in the early- to mid-80s...
