i was just wondering what you guys thought the best modchip (solder or no solder is fine) is, and where is the best most reliable place to buy them??

Most people wont answer you on this, because alot of time it will confuse you even more. I would go with the X2.3b Lite +, its solderless, and easy to install, and has 2 512k banks, flash protection, and an enable/disable switch for the xbox-livers among us

Read the explanations of the modchips, the modchip comparison charts, the FAQ forums and the pinned topics in this forum. This has been addressed many, many times. There's no right or wrong answer.
