Hey, I installed an Xecuter 2.3B PRO on my XBox. No fancy dashboards or anything.
I can turn on the chip, load up a burnt game and turn it off and it will still run.
Now my question is would I be able to boot up then turn the chip off and connect to Xbox Live without being banned? Does anyone know if the chip is still active because I turned it off after booting up?
Thanks for the help.

No, you will not be able to. The chip is still active, since you booted from the lpc points anyways. all the enable/disable switch does is ground the d0 to boot the from the lpc's, and it will continue to load the bios from the chip until you boot the xbox with the chip disabled. Don't try it, you will be banned from xblive.

as long as you have all the stock file( no overwrites) and a locked harddrive then no banning

are you saying that you turn on the chip, turn on the box, playing a backup, and then turn off the chip and it doesn't do anything?
the bios is only loaded into memory upon startup. the fact that it was on w during bootup is what's important. turning it off after the fact changes nothing.
you must boot with the chip off to go on live safely.
