Why does PS2 get another exclusive GTA release?

Because that's how life is, you win some you lose some. Seriously i think its because Rockastar has a deal with Sony.

I am not so sure either but I think the obvious ASSUMPTION <--- since I don't have any proof other than logic is that Sony bought the exclusive rights to the title for a certain period of time so that it will give consumers a reason to buy their console over someone else's.

As bc said, Sony owns rights to GTA series and the license is up after I think Q4 2004 or Begining of 2005, so there will be no more exclusive shit.

It won`t be an exclusive for long, there will eventually be xbox and pc versions.

sony had the rights for "Grand Theft Auto" Not GTA which is how rockstar managed to get them on xbox. Sony weren't happy either. I'm guessing it will get released eventually on xbox. but how much better could they make it on xbox?

I still don't see what the hype is about with the GTA series. I think the best thing in the game is the sountrack.

If you really want to play a PS2 exclusive game, then why not just buy a PS2? A lot of people here at X-S own more than one system. Since the price drops, it's not that expensive for a new system anymore.
