I have done the following my XBOX: installed Xecuter 2.3 Pro modchip, installed a 30 GB HDD, used Slayer's to rebuild the HDD and install Evox and all the other apps on there. At this point, I can backup my games to the HDD and play them and all that. The one thing I cannot do is FTP to the XBOX from my PC (so no emulators, or any other apps since my Thompson sucks). So here are my settings and whatnot: I use a D-Link wireless router with a four port switch.

I have been able to get the DHCP from the router to assign the XBOX an IP, but I still get the same errors in the FTP log. Any help you can give would be massively appreciated!

Just looks like a firewall on your PC is blocking it. So make sure any firewalls are off on your pc even the default winxp one.

The WinXP one is off, and even if I used a cross over cable, I was getting the same errors. So I figure that the hardware firewall is not the problem. Are there any other settings in XP that would be stopping that transfer?

I also just tried putting my PC out in the DMZ on my router, still unable to FTP to the XBOX (I tried having the XBOX in the DMZ as well).

No other firewall like Zonealarm or norton on your pc?

No other firewall. I am not running any software firewall on my PC. I just run AVG for my virus protection. Unless of course there is some other place that you need to turn off the WinXP firewall than Network Connections->Properties->Uncheck "Protect My Computer..."
