Full Version: Xbmp 2.0 And 2.2 Problems

Shafted!
I just installed Evox using the Slayers Installer, and everything works fine EXCEPT XBMP.

Actually, XBMP works fine, but it's giving me a little quirk that annoys me.

In XBMP 2.0 (comes with slayers), when i exit XBMP, i get sent to another SKIN of evox (seems to be a entirely different dashboard altogether).

In that alternative dashboard, there is a 'reset' option, so i click there...and i get sent to the same alternative dashboard!

So... i figure screw version 2.0, i'll just get version 2.2.

So i get version 2.2 and apply the fix, when i exit XBMP 2.2, it doesn't send me to ANY evox dashboard, instead it sends me to the original MS dashboard.

Please, if you got any suggestions, i'd love to hear them.

Thanks.

Did you edit the new config file to point to the evox dash?
Did you compete all these steps

IE;
1. go get xbmp 2.2
2.Get the IGR fix
3. Copy default.xbe from IGR fix into xbmp directory
4. find a copy of 2.1 and copy :
common-font13.xpr
common-font14.xpr
common-font64.xpr
from the media folder to the 2.2 media folder
5. delete e:\TDATA\0face007 (to clear stuff relating to any previous installation of xbmp)
6. reset and run xbmp

7. try to disable "cache ISO 0996... " option. this time it should have an arrow beside it to show on/off !
8. play a divx off an ISO cd!
Shafted!
I did not try steps 4 and 5, but i will try them.

I do have the config xml file pointing to evoxdash.xbe, but when i exit XBMP, it loads Evox, but doesn't seem to catch the ini file.

thnx

Thats a known bug.
Its called EvoX safe mode.
Happens to me sometimes.
You'll have to reboot the xbox to get it to reload the ini... right?
Shafted!
Yeah, i have to do a hard reboot. restarting from evox (the bare one) brings be back to the evox w/o the ini settings.
