I've just installed the new version of Ed's Linux on my V1.1 XBOX. I then copied over the contents of boot_fatx.iso (from memory, I did it last night) to e/apps/linux.

When I select LInux from the EvoX menu, it restarts, then I see a screen with Xromwell 1.7 across the top (what is that ?). It detects the HDD and DVD, then says 'cdrom unhappy' and hangs.

Any ideas?

Did you get boot_fatx.iso from the large .0.0.10 iso?
It's corrupt, download boot_fatx.iso seperately.

How do U notice it's corrupt? I installed it and *ONLY* have problems getting the install to run from apt-get update and onwards. That can't be the corruption, can it?

It said don't use it on the sourceforge site, so I didn't.

11 January 2003: Ed's ISO 0.0.10 available finally with support for v1.1 boxes. Get it from the download page Please note that the included bootloader is erroneous, therefore you have to download the postinstall images seperately from here ( either boot.iso.bz2 or boot_fatx.iso.bz2 , depending on your preferred boot method )

Checked the site and found out that v. 0.1.0 testing is out.
