I am currently running my xbox with a 80gb seagate barracuda. I plan to replace this hdd with a 200gb of the same model. Do I have to have F and G partitions to use all 200gb or can i put it all on F nowadays?

No you don't.

The very first thing you should do is make sure you are using the right bios. For example, if you were
gonna use a 250GB harddrive you can use the bios X2 4981.06 or X2 4983.06. The ".06" means partition 6 will take up the
rest of the harddrive. Anything bigger than 250GB I recommend to use the bios X2 4981.67 or X2 4983.67. FATX has a
limit of 256GB per partition, so if you were to use for example a 400GB harddrive and have one big "F" you'll
probably encounter some corruption problems "above 250GB". The best way is to flash your bios first with the one that
you need and then procceed with the harddrive upgrade.
