Darn it's 81x50 that's huge hope it fits ok on a DVD, if anyone has tryed it let me know, it's projectX too, I hope they iso'd it correctly, unlike a few of there past releases.

it seems like this has 2 files, assuming that each file is 2GB. you can unrar this baby easily

I cant wait to try this game out before I buy it, hopefully it is all it is cracked up tpo be, should be fun. Where can I find it, ben looking on Mirc but to no avail, any help.

Watch out guys as that is the japanese version that is out there now as it was released in japan today, but i will wait for the english version which will be released on the 11 mext month

yes, it is JAP version but if you play it on a modded US xbox. all menu and subtitle will changed to ENG. so enjoy.

The one on EZNws nfo file says it's USA... Are you sure that one is japanese ver?

Can anyone tell me if this will fit on a DVD? I have it downloaded now, And It looks close. I do not know the exact maximum that will fit on a DVD.

The Project-X source is definatly a USA/NTSC version.

I played it yesterday and no trace of JAP files in the archive.

iam, you're right.
The ProjectX nfo also says "Origin ............: USA / NTSC"

So where exactely did the rumour that it's a JAP release came from?

And more important,..what exactely are the differences between the JAP and USA version (different speech? or maybe nudity )?
I recall Panzer Dragoon Orta JAP and USA which has been verified don't differ at all (even to the byte size). Could this be the same with DOAXBV?

LOL - the nude patch ... there is actually some nudity in the intro [ although you cannot see any detail ] .
The game is just a hair over 4gig for those that wish to know . So if you intend to make a back-up ISO of your original then you must be using NTFS file system [ notice I said ISO ] .
Just a warning though , the gameplay is pretty bad so don't expect too much . If you just want to see the girls then have fun , was not enough to hold my interest for more than a few minutes [ the bikini's ] .

Are you running XP... just change your drives to NTFS file system and you'll be able to go over 4 gigs...

It's a simple command line to change it... just do a search how to do it... easy!!!

convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs

so to convert the c: drive
convert C: /fs:ntfs

that's it

I downloaded and burnt to DVD and it works fine so far. Only thing is that some of the speech is in JAP. But there are english subtitles and some speech is in English as well.

i heard that the japanese speech is unsubtitled (from gamespot or somethin)

I got CRC error in 1(r30) and 2(r23)
Trying from another server now to get those two files.

DAMN, I burnt it to a DVD, and all I get is a blank screen, what could it be??? I tryed to just burn the ISO, then that didn't work, so I unpacked it, and GDF's it and still same thing.

Yeah we both had this problem? anyone else? also when I took the DVD and tryed to Ftp it to a pc, it stalled halfway thru?? bad burn or dvd?

probably bad burn, works fine extracted and upped to the hd

are u using a pal or ntsc xbox, maybe u need to run it in ntsc mode for it to work like two towers, or in 50hz like toe jam. need 3 more files so will test it lata

All ya need to do is convert ya disk from FAT32 to NTFS partition. Then it will read files bigger than 4gigs!!! I beleive this can be done even with data on the disk with Partition Magic.

OMG This game SUCKS SO BAD !!!

I played yesterday night and all I can say is.... BAD !

2 buttons control (attack & receive).
Camera is aweful
Gameplay suck
Can't decide when you smash or not, the computer decides this for you.

Really, the game is far from good...

I have to agree about the game sucking. Even good ole super dodgeball had more depth (damn that game deserves a good remake).

the computer does not decide for you when to smash or tap the ball...the buttons are touch sensitive...if you want you can use more buttons ie one for soft hit one for hard...but I like the touch sensitive aspect...additionally this is the first volleyball game that I have played that you can on the fly place your hit...I see a gap and I take advantage...very fun.

I'll agree that it has more depth than meets the eye (haha, other things meet the eye first).

It's a fun game, that I'm positively addicted to - but I so wish that it was closer to a tournament format, and didnt have the "buying stuff for other girls" aspect, as it really makes for a somewhat contrived "gameplay" addition. What I wish is that we got Sega's GC exclusive (Beach Spikers), which is much more sport-based, rather than the "vacation simulator" that DOA-XBV tries to be. Beach Spikers format, plus DOA-XBV's graphics would be killer.

FWIW, keep playing - there is a really decent volleyball thrown into this title, once you get past the eye-candy (although, there aint nuthin wrong with the eye candy!!). I too didnt like the camera when I first started (I immediately started looking for an option to change the angle), but you really do get used to it.
