Hi, there's 3 different drives, Phillips, Thomson, and Sansung, why the xbox drives change, when you buy an xbox , it can have any of those 3 drives or what
Yes, the XBOX drives change when you buy an XBOX. In fact they change every 3rd day of the week. Wow, look, mines changing now!

Ok, that's a question. "Why do the XBOX drives change when you buy an XBOX?" Maybe it's some sort of quantum physics thing that causes the drive to change at the time of purchase. Actually, I don't think they do change when you purchase the XBOX. I'm pretty sure when you buy and XBOX you get it with the drive that was installed at the factory.

mr.ed you crack me up every time lol yea go flip a coin maybe you will get a thompson drive? no maybe Phillips, Hell it could be a Sansung 
As pointed out above it is all random. If you want to ensure that you get a Samsung drive, go pick up a used one. They let you test them out first and you can tell for sure which drive is in the XBOX as soon as they open the DVD tray (each drive has a unique tray pattern and there is a post around here somewhere with pictures of each).
