My XChip with solder-less application came in the mail today, and I intend to install it. But I have a few questions, for the instructions are not that clear.

Before I install the chip, do I have to flash it? What exactly does it mean to flash the chip, and how do I do this?

I already know how to crack the case open, but really desperatly need to know if I have to "flash" the chip.

Please help!!!!
