Im just wondering if a 25/30wt soldering iron would work and not fuck up my xbox...
this is just for 2 main reasons:
1. 15wt is REALLY hard to find over here (not even @ RadioShack).
2. IF I find it, it would be like $35usd (for real) since I once bought one for that amount of money...
So thats why I ask, will a 25/30 work fine.
Thx in advance.

The Soldering iron will work, but the tip and heat may let you down.
You'll have to be extremely careful soldering each pad, only applying enough heat to melt the solder and placing the wire.
I guess that the tip is the finest you can find?
It is easier and a necesity to pre-tin each pad prior to adding the wire.

What do you mean the heat and tip would let him down? Do you think that it's not strong enough?

But it would be better if I got a 15wt right
im getting the X-ecuter, so there's "only" 1 wire...
Well, i'm gonna look for the 15wt...if I can get one for a good prize....damn I have to be careful...

Well, If you go to www.radioshack.com and search for solder, you will find the catagory list, click into soldering irons, and there is a dual wattage iron that does 15 and 30 watts, and its only 10 bucks.

Yeah, Radio Shack has a couple models, including a decent 15/30watt switchable for only $8 or $9 - and the 1mm tip is $1
