Omg guys I am seriously FED UP with it NOT playing my games.
I have put my roms in a folder called Roms in my E drive in xbox. in my Surreal.ini file I have set the rom path to E. It shows up my games. No matter WHAT I do it does NOT let me play the games. After done loading, it just gives me a blank frigging screen. OMG. I musta tried about 10 times for everygame. I have tried Changing Max memory, changing all the paging stuff ( i just made them higher) and STILL I cant play ANY of them. I have even changed the sound plugin. Still, nothing. I even have renamed all my roms so there are NO caplocks and NO spaces. STILL! I have even tried the 5 mb other surreal. No help. ARGH. What is WRONG with this. Anyone whos surreals ACTUALLY works can they tell me what they did in the surreal.ini and exactly how they set up everyhting?

Games can have unusually long waiting times, try waiting at max 5 minutes. Also you can select 1 of 3 emulators some run certain games better. Play around with some stuff.

Are your roms good? Try downloading Surreal64 for the pc and see if your roms are good. Ive downloaded some bad dumps before

Well, I think that the problem is caused by the bios.
Is the only thing that everyone not has tried.

Are you running a 4977 bios? (One thats been patched for lba48) Or 4978? Both are known to cause issues - Reflash with a evox bios, or 4976.06 or 4979.06/67 + |
I never do that thing and I don't know if it works.
But is very wierd that a lot of people has this problem.

Its because they're using the geuex.net version. Download the one that only says Surreal 1.0 and not the one that says Geuex.net in its file name

Your perhaps thinking of the newer MAMEoX releases ; ) Surreal has a progress bar the instant it tries to load, and shouldnt take more than 10 seconds for the larger (64mb) roms.
Just put your roms in a 'roms' folder inside your surreal64 installation folder on your xbox. Put the original surreal.ini file back in there, delete your saves and reload.

ok listen guys. I READ that 28 page post about surreal none of it helped. Im using the original 1.0 Surreal. NOT the 5mb one. I load the actual emulator from disc and load the games from hardrive. No matter how much crap tweaking I do it just stays at that stupid blank screen.

getting pissed isnt going to solve your probloms... be patient... and retrace all your steps man.
you are SURE YOU ARE DELETING THE SURREAL64 SAVE SPOT FROM YOUR SAVE GAMES? becaise if not, then none of this will matter really.
also, did you take the advice and try the rom on a pc emulator and get it to work?
i dont know anything else that could work, besides trying a game that you know works, on all three emulators,
with these settings hereusing this compatability list hereafter all that is done... and still nothing, and uninstalling the save data, and reinstalling using DEFAULT settings.ini and puttings the roms folder INSIDE THE SURREAL FOLDER (surreal/roms) ....
then i dont know.
edit: what bios are you using? what dash?

Someone called him out on being a security guard in some other thread, so i combined that with the budweiser? commercial sayings "This ones to you new-advert-here-man"
I have however, been waiting a *very* long time (2 years mind you) to get a good enough excuse to put cartman as my avatar. It was a toss up of awesom-o or cartman-hitler.
ShumS: explain in a *very* detailed manner as to what exactly the problem was and how you fixed it. The whole point of these threads is to help other people with similar problems aswell.
